Nas had an interview with Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg last week and said “Jay Z is Hip Hop’s Savior. Let me tell you why. As a business man… The fact that he’s doing what he’s doing is a [wake up] call for all of the Gods and Earths to wake up and understand this generation is bigger than what we can even fathom. And he is one of the only ones out of the whole community that we grew up with from the Run DMC days, who’s taken his isht seriously. Taken his isht very seriously. That’s powerful. And you gotta respect that.” Do you agree?? #TeamDropDead does.

Katy Perry put on a New York Yankee hat over her blue hair and did a great job covering Jay Z & Kanyes “Nig*as in Paris.” (shes from California by the way) It was slowed down slightly and re-arranged so that it could be played by her band, and she took out most of the bad words. She replaced the n-word with ninja. Before the peformance she said “This is about to get embarrassing.” She also throws up her diamond. She is so gorgeous #DropDead loves it & approves.

Maybach from Jay-Z & Kanyes “Otis” video SOLD!
Posted: March 18, 2012 in Celebrity Gossip, Drop Dead Daily, MusicThe 2004 Maybach 57 that was in the video for Jay-Z and Kanye West’s grammy winning song “Otis” sold at a auction this week for just $60,000. It was estimated to sell in between $100,000-$150,000. The Maybach does run & work. It was billed at the Phillips de Pury & Company auction as a piece of contemporary art, not a vehicle to be on the road. Just imagining seeing this #DropDead car in traffic. It would be so unreal. Some of the proceeds will go to the Save the Children Fund.
